As Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Birmingham Breast Group (BBG), Dr Daniel Henderson brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to patient care.
Trained at the renowned Royal Marsden Hospital in London, Dr Henderson’s journey in Clinical Oncology has been marked by excellence and innovation. His two-year fellowship in advanced radiotherapy, a rare distinction, underscores his commitment to advancing treatment modalities.
Throughout his career, Daniel has demonstrated exceptional academic prowess, winning undergraduate prizes and attaining distinctions in final examinations. His contributions to research are extensive, with multiple peer-reviewed publications and invitations to speak at national and international conferences.
In 2017, Daniel was appointed as Consultant in Clinical Oncology at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Edgbaston and Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield. These appointments position him at the forefront of breast cancer care, leveraging the advanced radiotherapy and chemotherapy units available.
At BBG, Daniel’s role extends beyond clinical practice. He serves as a member of the Expert Advisory Group for Breast Cancer in the West Midlands and the Scientific Advisory Committee for clinical trials at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. His expertise in radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy, coupled with a passion for personalised treatment plans, underscores his commitment to achieving optimal patient outcomes.
Daniel’s approach to oncology reflects his belief in its dynamic nature, where new treatments continually emerge. With a focus on personalised care, he strives to tailor treatment plans to each patient’s unique needs, ensuring the best possible outcomes and fostering a culture of innovation within the field.
